I just had my fourth Sunday at Crosby UMC. All things seem to going according to plan.
The Pastor, Dr. Gail Harrelson, is about the nicest boss anyone could ask for. She is supportive, constructively critical, and yet another in a collection of Second Moms (as in, she's kind of a part of the family to me.) It's a shame though. She just got diagnosed with breast cancer about two weeks ago, and while she's facing it with great strength, I know she's having a hard time coping. Anyone would. I'm praying for her, and we shall see what the future holds. In any case, she caught it early, so things look up.
The youth gig is both challenging and rewarding. I didn't think I would be good at youth ministry, but it's coming along. It takes practice, and some nights are easier than others, but I have a feeling the kids like me well enough.
I just felt like I needed to update a little on el trabajo. Some of you haven't seen me in a while, and I'm sorry. I have not abandoned you. I am scheduled to preach this Sunday. I may publish my sermon here after I give it, depending on how good I think it is. Who knows? Some of you may like it.
